Li Yueru leadership lessons learned during China's Olympic journey

The experiences gotten every day are still new, and for Los Angeles Sparks center Li Yueru

the period she played for China in Paris during the 2024 Olympic Games must have provided much to learn.

Speaking exclusively to Mirror U.S. Sports before the Sparks lost 103-68 against the New York Liberty in Los Angeles

Yueru shared what struck her the most while representing China against the best basketball players in the world.

Apart from learning how to become a more efficient basketball player, Yueru has learned more about herself and the kind of player she wants to be.

"I try to believe more in myself," said the Chinese basketball star. "I try to learn how to be a leader in China. So I'm comfortable staying as a player.

I didn't try to be a team leader. I'm trying to learn to be a team leader or another stronger player.

I'm trying to change myself. I try to do more things for my country. It's so different, but I will study." Despite still learning how to be a leader, Yueru's play for China said otherwise.
